3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the information or quotes you request.
  • Match you with local contractors who fit your project, and pass your details to them so they can contact you (see Section 4).
  • Send you our newsletter and renovation updates, where you have asked to receive them.

  • Understand how visitors use the Site through analytics.

  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We use your information only for the purposes for which you provided it, or for compatible purposes, unless you consent otherwise or the law allows it.

4. How we share your information

Contractors. This is the core of what we do. When you request quotes or ask to be matched, you are asking us to introduce you to contractors. We share the details you provide, such as your name, contact information, postal code, and project description, with one or more local contractors so they can contact you with quotes. By submitting a request, you consent to this sharing. Those contractors are independent businesses, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.

Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the Site and our communications, for example website hosting, form and email tools, and analytics. They may process your information on our behalf and are only permitted to use it to provide services to us.

Referral and affiliate partners. We may connect you with contractors or services through third-party platforms, and we may earn a referral fee at no cost to you. Where we use such platforms, your information may be handled under their own privacy policies.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or a court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of others.

Business changes. If RenoRevamp is involved in a merger, sale, or transfer, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with contractors only so they can respond to a request you have made.

5. Your choices and rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw your consent to our use or sharing of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
  • Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each message, or by contacting us.

To make a request, contact us at info@renorevamp.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. Analytics tools such as [ANALYTICS TOOL] help us see which pages and guides are useful. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the Site works. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

7. Email and CASL

We send commercial emails, such as our newsletter, only to people who have asked to receive them, and we manage these through [EMAIL TOOL]. Every email includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and we honour those requests promptly. This is in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

8. Links to other sites

Our guides and pages may link to other websites, including contractors and partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide our services, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

10. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Where your information is processed

RenoRevamp is based in Canada. Some of our service providers may store or process information in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries, and we take steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for homeowners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy
